Tae Kwon Do

Taekwondo (also spelled tae kwon do or taekwon-do) is a martial art originating in Korea. Having become the most widely practiced martial art in the world, it is the national sport of Korea as well as an Olympic sporting event.

In Korean, derived from hanja, tae means "foot"; kwon means "fist"; and do means "way". Hence, taekwondo is loosely translated as "the way of the hand and foot" or more loosely, "the art of kicking and punching". Taekwondo's popularity has resulted in the divergent evolution of the martial art. As with many other martial arts, taekwondo is a combination of combat technique, self-defense, sport, exercise, entertainment, and philosophy.

Self Defense information is an integrated part of this program. Becoming aware of yourself and your surroundings can only increase ones safety.

Han Mu Do

Created by Dr. He-Young Kimm in the search for balance through Martial Arts, Han Mu Do is made up of essentially three components:

HAN (High) - Hanmudo practitioners set short term, intermediate term and long term goals. The long term goal is to achieve their Black Belt. After goals are set, the practitioner then works diligently to achieve the goal.

HAN (Wide or Open) - Hanmudo practitioners train to have and keep an open mind. They work to help others understand different people and cultures so we may all live in harmony and happiness.

HAN (Bright or Optimistic) - Hanmudo practitioners train with a strong positive attitude. They strive to face all of their challenges with confidence. They understand that their challenges build strength.
